About Us

What Is Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic Gymnastics is one of the most elegant Olympic sports, blending the strength and flexibility of gymnastics with the grace of ballet and the expressiveness of dance.

Using apparatus such as hoops, balls, ropes, ribbons, and clubs, gymnasts perform choreographed routines that showcase artistry, precision, and control.

This sport helps young athletes develop discipline, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of movement.

Our Mission

At Olympia Rhythmic Gymnastics, our mission is to make rhythmic gymnastics accessible to all young girls in our community and to provide opportunities for those who wish to excel in this beautiful sport.

Through expert coaching, respect, and encouragement, we help each gymnast reach her potential – developing strength, grace, and confidence both in and out of the gym.

Our Story

Club Olympia Rhythmic Gymnastics was originally founded in 1997 in Bulgaria by Daniela Todorova and her fellow coaches. In 2009, Daniela brought Olympia to Vancouver, BC, where it has grown into one of Canada’s leading rhythmic gymnastics clubs.

Today, Olympia proudly supports more than 150 athletes, offering both recreational and competitive programs that encourage excellence, creativity, and lifelong passion for the sport.
